Makli Necropolis

Makli Necropolis is located in the town of Makli , which is about 6 kilometer away from the townof Thatha. It is on the East to Karachi about 98 Kilometers of drive. Makli Necropolis covered a area of 10 square kilometers amd there are about 500,000 tombs. Funerary architecture 

reflects the Muslim, Hindu, Persian and Gujrati influences.

Shaikh Jamali was the muslim poet and saint who has a khanqah in the Area of Makli. When he died he was buried here.

After him a Ruler Dam Tamachi wanted to be burried with the saint in that place and then this trend started. There are different type of  designs like earliest tombs displays the shape of small pyramids having a beautiful architecture. Several tombs have circular structures and some displays the carvings of Animals, weapons and warriors.

There are largest structures with Canopy styles having wooden doors which displays the architecture of Central Asia and Persian influences.
There are mountains across the area and temperature is quite hot but it is a worth visiting place with the greatest architectures of the History.
