An 11 year old boy invented popsicle accidentally...

Ice pops where invented by an 11 year old  San Francisco boy, named as Frank Eperson in 1905. He didn’t have the intention to make any ice pop. He made some sugery soda mixture and accidentally placed it outside for overnight. As it was quit cold out there so the mixture got froze. He licked and really enjoyd the treat. Suddenly he got the idea to sell it around his neighborhood.

The ice pops were named as “Epsicles” on his own name. This idea got the real admiration from the neighbors so Frank decided to expand his sales to the other areas as well. In no time Epsicles made a great hit across the region. Later on, Frank changed the name from Epsicle to popsicle by the insistance of Eperson’s children. Due to this success Eperson applied for patent for which the requirements were good quality wooden sticks and good quality materials and all the qualities were met. Later on Eperson sold the rights to Joe Low Co. in 1920s. In an interview he said “ He got bankrupted and for this he had to sell the rights of his own creation”.
