Jazeera Al Hamra

Jazeera Al Hamra translated as Red Island is a town located in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab
Emirates. It is famous for its abandoned and haunted buildings, mosques, and houses. It is also known as
the ghost town. It is also famous for its horror stories. It has narrow lanes. The buildings and the houses
in Jazeera Al Hamra are made of sea shells, coral stones and sand while some roofs are covered by date
palm.

 It was abandoned in 1968 and till now this place remained unchanged and untouched while the rest of
city has progressed a lot. There was a time when people used to live there. Most of them earned their as
pearl fishermen but due to some incidents they left their houses. Those who live near to that town
experience some paranormal activities. According to them it’s amongst the creepiest place that can be
found in UAE.



 The police often get calls from that town and upon reaching they find nothing.
People often go there at daytime, No one has the guts to go there at night.
