Balut!! The fertilized bird egg
Balut is a developing bird embryo, mostly a duck embryo, it is boiled and eaten in the shell. It came from Philippines, introduced by chinese and is eaten as street food. It is usually served with beer. Belut is very poplur in Thailand, Combodia, Laos and Veitnam. It is incubated for 14 to 21 days According to their culture, then boiled and eaten.
This food is really enjoyed by the people of south east Asian Countries but if we introduce it in our region no body will like it. There is also a restaurant in New york city that serves Balut. Some people enjoy it but some didn’t like it. It’s looks gross not only by it’s looks but also we can never think of eating a developing bird embryo. This is something unique that most of the people in our area don’t know about. It’s very important to know that eating Balut is controversial because it’s not allowed in some religions, it’s not good for the health as well and also for the animal welfare. So people should avoid eating it.
